  • 9 week desk specific programme, from June to August
  • Strong A-level grades and a 1st class degree, or good 2:1 in a numerical discipline

Our Business

The internship programme is a precursor to the Quantitative Management Analyst Programme (QMAP). This programme is designed to develop and coach analytical and quantitative talent to be deployed throughout various Bank of America Merrill Lynch business groups. 

The programme consists of two one year rotations in quantitative disciplines along with customized training and continuing education.  Upon completion of the program, QMAP graduates have a broad range of global career opportunities within the bank.


As an Intern within Quantitative Management, you will:

  • Apply quantitative analysis to business problems and develop solutions in areas of Derivatives and Exotics, Price Valuation, Market Risk Model Validation, and Counterparty Credit Risk
  • Implement solutions applying both qualitative and quantitative aspects in capital markets, finance, and risk management
  • Use modeling techniques to quantify and determine solutions to business problems
  • Gain real, in-depth experience applying quantitative knowledge to specific financial challenges

The Quantitative Management Analyst Programme is seeking a combination of academic aptitude and quantitative skills including:

  • A degree, Masters, PhD or other advanced degree with a strong quantitative background in disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, quantitative finance, and economics
  • Strategic and creative thinking ability 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • On track for a minimum 2.1 degree classification
