What persuaded you to work for Bank of America?

As a company with immense resources, knowledge, and presence, the bank provides its employees with a competitive advantage to advance their development and their network compared to other companies. This exposure is invaluable, especially for a driven individual who is young in his/her career, and this is what drove me to Bank of America.

How would you describe your job to a friend?

I am the information liaison for Consumer Payments and Deposits. I am responsible for knowing the typical banking behaviors and trends of consumers, like you and me, and how we transact. Serving in this role, my team tracks the performance of our deposits

The bank is constantly striving to expose its employees to new and provoking topics, keeping us intellectually driven.

How does the bank support your development?

Bank of America realizes the importance of its people, both from an intellectual and a soft skills lens. The bank is constantly communicating the importance of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion, and backing up these communications with numerous learnings and panels. Additionally they supported me in my endeavors to obtain my CPA, reimbursing me for my test prep and application costs. Lastly, the bank is constantly striving to expose its employees to new and provoking topics, keeping us intellectually driven.

What do you enjoy doing in your personal time?

I am a certified boat captain, and fishing is by far the favorite thing to do in my free time. I spend most of my vacation time fishing cobia tournaments, and going offshore from my hometown port in Destin, Florida. Additionally, Charlotte is an awesome city in a great location, so I enjoy watching Charlotte and Clemson athletics, and “getting away” to the Appalachian Mountains.

What advice would you give to students?

Find your passion and pursue it. If you are not sure of your passion yet, then don’t sit around - put yourself out there and perform your best at everything you are involved in.
