What persuaded you to work for Bank of America?

With Bank of America, there are so many opportunities to get experience in different areas of the business. I spoke to many different people at Bank of America before I decided to join and a common theme I heard was the idea of shared success. At Bank of America, “Trust the Team” is more than just the words on the wall, it’s a lifestyle.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I create roadmaps for our partners to invest in Bank of America’s technological platforms as well presenting the capabilities of those platforms. Essentially, my teammates and I help drive technological strategies aimed at making it easier for clients to do business with Bank of America.

How would you describe your job to a friend?

My job is to optimize Bank of America’s technology platforms to make it easy for associates to engage with clients. I help develop the solution and prioritize Bank of America’s resources to deliver the most efficient experience possible. That starts with understanding the funding required to create new technology capabilities, making the business case for the investments, and seeing those plans built out.

At Bank of America, “Trust the Team” is more than just the words on the wall, it’s a lifestyle.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love that no matter what I am working on, whether it is an improvement to something that already exists or some sort of new technology, I know that it will make someone’s life easier. Our technological programs aim to make everyone’s life easier, from the investors in Wall Street to the people cashing checks at their local branch and everyone in between. None of that is possible without a tremendous amount of teamwork. It is so rewarding to see that many people pull together to achieve the same goal.

How do you describe the culture at the bank?

At Bank of America, there is a focus on employees that goes beyond the value that an individual can deliver to the bottom line. The company supports community involvement, inclusion activities and employee networks that make it more than a place to just punch the clock. The company also encourages volunteering during work hours to help build up the communities in which we work.
