Since college after my first internship, I've realized that I love to be in the markets. I love talking to clients about the markets. We help clients hedge their commodities price exposure. We are the ones that try to manage their exposure so that in a volatile environment they can achieve price stability and achieve what they need for their shareholders.

 

I think the most rewarding part about my job is that I have the ability to help clients and structure customized solutions for them. So my typical day is reading commodity news, sending updates to clients, speaking to clients. I really, really love to be close to the markets. 

 

Connection is a very important thing in Bank of America Merrill Lynch. I work in the commodities, FICC division. The corporate bankers in many different countries allow us different channels to connect to our clients. The team is much more cooperative and we are much more a team player. My team is something that I look forward to meeting every day. I've learned more about the markets, learned a lot about derivatives.

 

As a person, I've become much more people person and because I talk to clients every day. I get to travel to many different countries, understanding the different cultures in Korea, Japan, Australia. The bank has entrusted me with the clients that I handle. At a very young age and a very early part of my career, I've been tasked with very big clients. You know, this is something that is appealing to me and something that I enjoy and I'm here to stay.
