What persuaded you to work for Bank of America?
I started my career at BofA as an intern and was converted after the 10 week program. During my internship, I became fascinated with the role of an equity research analyst. I loved the idea of becoming a specialist in a specific sector and advising clients on it. I also enjoyed being surrounded by some of the brightest people in the industry. Ultimately the fast-paced, intellectual and challenging environment of research felt like a good fit for me and my career goals.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I always start the day by reading the news and keeping myself informed on what’s happening globally (both in finance and geopolitics) and in my sector (transport related news). Other than that, day-to-day tasks are rather fluid – I could be updating financial models, collating data and analyzing it, answering client requests, speaking to our coverage companies as well as writing reports.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Every day on the job is different – it’s hard to expect what the day will bring since our job is highly versatile and ever-evolving based on current affairs and geopolitics. The unpredictability of it can make it demanding but it is also highly rewarding when you get a stock call right or you create meaningful research that clients comment on.
