As a trader in Bank of America, my responsibility is to facilitate client flows, try to hedge the risk and monetize the flows.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy learning new things every day from my colleagues, the market, and from trading itself. Discussing ideas with my colleagues, experiencing different market events, and learning new trading tactics really keep me excited every day.
What skills are important for a trader?
There is a lot of deep thinking going on behind each trading decision. The ability to think independently and make your own judgments are key qualities that many good traders share.

How do you describe the culture at the bank?
People are the biggest asset to the bank. At Bank of America, everyone is very approachable and friendly. I hang out with my colleagues outside of work, and they are one of my motivations to go to work every day.

Do you work in a global team?
Yes, we are a global team with over 20 traders sitting in four different offices across different time zones. FX market is a 24 hour market, so the team is seamlessly connected every week. We manage the trading books during our time zone and pass to the next center when they come in.
