What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different! That is one of the reasons I love my role. My job can be stressful because I deal with high priority complaints and work with regulatory firms; but the variety in my day makes the hours go by quickly.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The fact that I am challenged on a daily basis. I learn new things, have to think outside the box, and be diligent in time management.
How does the bank support your development?
I’ve never worked for a company that provides so many opportunities for an associate to grow. Not only on a professional level, but on a personal level as well. We have materials online we can use, a career center on campus, and supportive managers that can guide you on your selected career path.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?
That I can perform in a job that I love as well as spend my time volunteering with organizations that I am passionate about. My career with the firm has been successful because of the opportunities presented to me and the amazing leadership I have. I have taken advantage of the benefits that Merrill has to offer and, without those, I don’t know that I would have had the career path I did.
What is your biggest accomplishment or achievement at Bank of America?
Being selected as Chair for our Associate Advisory Council. I get a seat at the table with executive leadership, build relationships with associates across all six home offices, and be the voice of my peers. It is very fulfilling to know our leadership cares enough about our ideas that they have created a council to get the ideas off the ground.
What advice would you give to students?
Never let your position within the firm determine the change you can make. Whether you are entry level or management – your brand matters and people will notice. You should always consider yourself an ambassador of the firm by always doing your best and being a leader.
