What persuaded you to work for Bank of America Merrill Lynch?
I chose Bank of America Merrill Lynch because of the diversity of its team, the challenging analytical environment that investment banking represented for me and because it was a great venue to develop a wide array of transferable skills for my future.
Describe your job?
The easiest way for me to explain my day to day job is to explain that we work for big corporations, on transformational transactions such as M&A, debt or equity issuances. We’re here to represent the best interests of the firm and to advise them throughout the entire process.
What are the most rewarding aspects of your role?
What I enjoy the most about my day to day duties is the client interaction. The ability to meet CEO’s of companies, truly powerful people in the industry who have paved their way to success and continue to pave the way for others.
What are the key skills you need to be successful at Bank of America Merrill Lynch?
I believe the key attributes to be a good, successful investment banker is to be a positive and resourceful person. A good banker is thoughtful, detail oriented, a good team leader and willing to put in the effort to achieve an outstanding outcome.
