What was your experience like during your internship?

My internship was a 10 week program. At first, I did not understand what working with supply chain would look like at a financial institution; however, I quickly learned that the bank had several third party relationships with which they engage. It was just a matter of understanding how our group added value to the bank and seeing how my team interacted across the organization. It was an amazing experience and after my 10 weeks I spoke with my manager to see where I exceeded expectations, where I could improve, and where I fit in within the organization. After working with so many great people, I knew that I wanted to be at a place that valued diversity and inclusion.

The exposure to leadership and the various areas in which you are trained proves that there are so many opportunities.

What advice would you give to students?

If you see yourself propelling in a corporate environment, then this is the perfect program for you. The exposure to leadership and the various areas in which you are trained proves that there are so many opportunities. I was looking to go outside of the norm from my typical field. What I am doing here has slight variations from what I learned in school and that is what made me choose to work with Bank of America.

What are you teammates like?

My team is a very global line of business. I work with individuals in Hong Kong, India, and the United Kingdom. I like the aspect of working with people of different cultures and backgrounds because that really pushes me to perfect my communication skills and continually work on being an effective partner.
